Clever Dictionary, is an offline dictionary, thesaurus and much more. The freely downloadable shareware tool saves time and makes writing easier by having a host of writing tools in the one place, a one-stop-shop for words and quotes.

Clever Dictionary consists of nine powerful tools integrated into a single, intuitive interface; giving access to millions of word combinations and ideas as an offline dictionary resource.

Clever Dictionary was born out of frustration. Its creator, Lee Powell, a published author, software engineer and the developer of the award winning Scrivener for Windows, built Clever Dictionary over three years in his spare time as a way of assisting him complete his upcoming novel without having to spend valuable time or risk being side tracked going from site to site searching for synonyms and famous quotations. After sharing it with several writing colleagues, students and academics, it became clear that Clever Dictionary was something that people of all ages could benefit from.

Getting a work document, assignment, novel, song, poem out usually means working to deadlines. Clever Dictionary saves time allowing the focus to be on getting the material out. It makes finding that word or quote a lot easier because everything is in the one place without having to connect to the internet. The modes include:
